U.S. Jazz Audition Dates Announced…

PRESS RELEASE… PRESS RELEASE…  PRESS RELEASE…  PRESS RELEASE…

AUDITIONS DATES FOR JAZZ TALENT SEARCH

The search for U.S. jazz talent continues with the release of the auditions dates across the U.S. Compass Management along with Universal Classic & Jazz will embark on a week campaign to find the jazz stars of tomorrow.

The confirmed auditions include:

25th March – New Orleans, Monk Institute Of Jazz

26th March – Dallas, University Of North Dallas

28th & 29th March – Boston, Berklee College

30th March – Toronto, Humber College

Compass Management, along with one of the world’s largest record companies, are creating an original and exciting new jazz act to launch in the Autumn of 2009.  The act will be stylish, dynamic and aspirational and will bring something new and very unique to the world’s music stage.

So, how can you help? Well, we’re not necessarily looking for experienced artists so why not get involved and help us find the unknown talent in your area? From a piece or feature on our hunt, an interview with us about what we’re looking for or if you want to become our media partner in this exciting talent search, we’d love to discuss how you could become involved so please get in touch.

The act will be fronted by two singers – one male and one female – and backed by a cool live band. They will throw new light and a modern twist on some classic jazz and easy listening favourites. Classics like Feeling Good, La Vie En Rose, In A Sentimental Mood and many more, will be given a brand new contemporary treatment and a distinctive, modern sound will be created.

So what we need now is it’s two future stars. During late March 2009, we will be auditioning across the UK and in the US for two attractive, sophisticated and extremely talented singers aged between 18 and 25, who have an understanding and a love of this genre of music and who want to join us on this exciting journey. The ability to play an instrument would be a bonus!

The successful applicants will be required to spend a significant amount of time based in the U.K. throughout 2009, starting in May.

All those wishing to audition should email Rachel Agnew directly at:
