At the end of April Compass Management will cease trading as I pursue a new direction in my career. I wish to thank all of those who have been supportive and those whom I have developed some great working relationships with.

More Talent Wanted

Compass Management are a 360 degree music label and are currently searching for new UK based musical talent. You must live in the UK, have already written and recorded your own music and want to take your music career to the next level. We tend to focus on singer song-writers and bands. We do not tend to work with R&B and metal acts.

We are also keen to talk to acts that have previously had recording deals with major players in the recorded music business.

We will reply to everyone that responds to this message if you qualify according to the brief above. Following previous messages we have started to work with several new acts who all have incredible talent and have a chance to progress to the next level.

Previously UK Signed Artists Required

At Compass we are keen to hear from artists and managers who have previously had recording deals with either major or large independent record labels but are no longer signed. The genre is not so important but being based in the UK with previous sales in excess of 30,000 units are key.

We operate a full 360 degree offer by recording, releasing, promoting, PR, marketing, publishing and working with live. We offer artists the chance to share in the profits from all revenue streams, instead of being paid advances and royalties.

The New Capitols - Recording And New Dates

The New Capitols are fresh out of the studio following an amazing session with Steve Christian. The track will be up on Myspace within 1 week. The band recorded 6 tracks in total including 2 new original compositions. They sound fantastic!

Compass To Judge For The British Council…

Monday 9th February 2009 sees the first round of 12 applicants long-listed or the award and called for interview in early February. The interview panel will include leading figures from the UK music industry, including Darren Henderson from Compass Management. From that longlist six finalists will shortlisted and invited to take part in a two week tour of the Polish music industry, visiting Warsaw, Gdansk and one other city. The tour will take place in March 2009.

At the end of the tour, the finalists will participate in a two day seminar in Warsaw with other young creative entrepreneurs from Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and other countries in central Europe.

In late April the six finalists will be interviewed again by an industry panel and the winner selected. The winner will be announced in May in Brighton.
